Wind Resource Arrangement

This chapter guides you to the operations of macrositing, Geotiff picture, and resource evaluation.

Before micrositing of wind farm, the resource in this wind farm should be evaluated and roughly arranged. The basic step is macrositing. Macrositing designs turbine layout in the individual wind farm boundary according to customized requirements.

The Geotiff function is introduced for how to import the tiff or tif picture and view it in GIS, and how to apply the map analysis to acquire the economic condition of an area.

The resource evaluation function evaluates the wind and solar resource within the defined area for siting and economic evaluation.
