Geotiff Picture

During wind farm planning and design, except for maps and layers embedded in Greenwich and imported customer information as wind farm layout, terrain, route, etc., you can import a picture in the tiff or tif format and show it over the GIS map as an assistance. In addition, apply the picture as a base map and duplicate its information in GIS.

Importing Geotiff Picture

  1. Click the project name in the project tree.

  2. Click the import/export button img01 in the operation button area to open the Import/Export page.

  3. Select Tiff map as object type in the Create tab.

  4. Click the Upload button to load a tiff or tif file.

    Note

    The file size should be no more than 200MB.

    Note

    The file must include coordinate information. Or else, it cannot be loaded successfully.

    Note

    Only files with the projection of Geographical Long/lat and datum of WGS84 are compatible. After successful upload, the projection, zone, and datum of the file are not editable.

  5. Input the object name. By default, the object name is the imported file name and it is editable.

  6. Click the Create button. A new Geotiff object is added in the project tree.

Checking Geotiff Picture

  1. Click the Geotiff object in the project tree.
  2. Click the expand icon《 at the right top of the interface to open the operation pane.
  3. Click the Property tab.
  4. (Optional) Modify the object name and project phase.
  5. Click the checkbox of the Geotiff object in the project tree. The picture is displayed in GIS.
  6. Click Layer Edit to open the layer edit options.
  7. Click the Picture tab.
  8. Drag the control bar to adjust the transparency of the picture.
